Meeting Needs of the Whole Child
The Family Resource Center supports the idea of meeting the needs of the "whole" child and emphasizes the importance of parents and other primary caretakers' involvement in the education of their children. We believe that through the District's Family Resource Center we strengthen the connection between Home, School and Community by supporting families, which has proven to be highly effective way of improving children's chances for educational achievement and success.
The Family Resource Center offers family enhancement programs, student-focused programs, individualized services, parenting classes, and a central access point for information and referral services in the Quad City area and beyond. We offer some help with school supplies, winter clothing, food, and other needs that may arise for district families. Be sure to watch this website for more information on assistance provided to students and families!
WINTER COATS AVAILABLE! The Family Resource Center at Central Schools can provide winter coats, hats, gloves, and boots to any students and their family members who are in need of these items. (Snowpants are also available to elementary students.) Please contact FRC Director Amanda Greubel at 659-4757 or
amanda.greubel@central-clinton.k12.ia.us for more information.
